We forgot once and didn't have any cash. What did we do? We borrowed money from our other kids wallet. Not our best parent moment ever!

Yeah, we forgot more than once with our oldest, so we ended up nixing the entire idea of it. She wasn't hurt or upset. Our 2nd daughter kinda believes, and the oldest loves to create stories to help her believe, but I wouldn't be upset if she didn't believe. I don't think we'll do it with our 3rd daughter. It's this sort of thing that has made us reconsider ALL fictional characters who come to visit overnight. It's painful for them when they realize they're fake and we've been lying...or if we forget and they think they've been dissed. :(
